Hi, my name’s Kevin. I’ve been working at Thee Language Training Co since November 2021.
During lockdown I taught English online and worked my way through a never-ending D.I.Y. (Do It Yourself) jobs list for my house. Things like painting the window frames, replacing broken windows and painting the inside of the house. Fun stuff! (not really!) Anyway, thankfully now I’m back in the classroom teaching English at United World.
Where have you taught?
I’ve taught in Bournemouth, Manchester, Spain, France and in the Middle East with the British Council.
What did you miss when you taught abroad?
I’m tempted to say nothing! I loved my time teaching abroad but if I had to say one thing, I think I would say Cheesy Chips, basically they’re just chips with melted cheese on them but you can’t seem to get them abroad. They’re great after a surfing session in winter!
Tell us something your colleagues don’t know about you
I like to go surfing and paddleboarding with friends on some of our amazing rivers. I also like going on camping trips and riding my motorbike. To be honest my colleagues probably know I like motorbikes. I think the one thing they probably don’t know about me is that I like to get into ice cold water whenever possible, it’s called the Wim Hof Method. It’s a lot better than coffee for waking you up in the morning!!
