I’m Katherine and I’ve been working for Language Training Co since the start of the summer. I have only just returned to the UK, so I am enjoying the joys of British life once more.
Q: Which places have you visited?
A: Eek quite a lot of places. I have been quite fortunate with my travelling. My big trips were in South America, inter-railing around Europe and, strangely, my parent’s honeymoon to Australia and Thailand. Most recently I was teaching in Portugal. I also studied for a year in the USA and did a ski season in France.
Q: What did you miss from the UK when you taught abroad?
A: Aside from my family and friends?
This is going to sound ridiculous but the rain. Something about rain makes me feel so cosy and homely. It’s great for doing very little with the ones you love at home. Also, the seasons because I love how the seasons are all so different in the UK.
Q: Tell us something your colleagues don’t know about you.
A: I love animals. I have since I was a child. My favourite animals are dolphins, birds, and guinea pigs. I have an annual pass to the Bournemouth aquarium, and I use it A LOT!
